We hadn’t talked in awhile, but when she asked me if I could shoot her wedding in November, of course I said yes! Planning the engagement shoot was a little tricky since we were in different cities, but we set a date for it in Ottawa. The weather was a little iffy in the morning but by afternoon the sun was out and shining! When I left to meet them downtown, I was wearing sunglasses- however I saw some storm clouds in the distance. Once I got downtown, this is what it looked like:


Yikes! (Although made for a nice picture!). We decided to try and see how long we could go without getting rained on, and we managed to last about 30-40 minutes before the sky just opened up. We hid under a gazebo and waited for it to slow down a little before we ran for the car. So, definitely the shortest engagement shoot I’ve ever done but I think we still managed to get some nice photos :) It was awesome to catch up with Jess and nice to meet her fiance Kevin, and I’m really looking forward to their wedding in the fall!
